St. Valentine's Day 2010 SPECIAL OFFERS
There are varying opinions as to the origin of St Valentine.
One of these is that he was a Roman priest serving under Emperor Claudius. Claudius decided to ban young men from marrying thinking that if they did so they would be less likely to join his army, not wanting to travel & leave their wife and family. Valentine continued to marry young lovers in secret ceremonies. He was captured and sentenced to death. On the day he was due to die he left a note for the jailers daughter with whom he had become friends, and signed it "with Love from your Valentine". That day was February 14th 269AD In the spirit of that Roman Priest be seen to celebrate love and romance in defiance of Claudius.
